# Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds.

They possess the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical properties and hardness as natural diamonds.

The only difference is their origin.

Instead of forming naturally beneath the Earth's surface over billions of years, lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technology in controlled laboratory environments through either High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) processes. Every diamond is evaluated using the internationally recognised 4Cs.

### Cut

Cut determines how brilliantly a diamond reflects light.

An expertly cut diamond will display exceptional sparkle and fire.

### Colour

Colour is graded from D (colourless) through to Z (light yellow or brown).

The closer a diamond is to colourless, the rarer it becomes.

### Clarity

Clarity measures naturally occurring inclusions and surface characteristics.

Most inclusions are microscopic and invisible without magnification.

### Carat

Carat refers to the weight of the diamond, not its size.

Two diamonds of the same carat weight can appear different depending on their cut and proportions.

# Caring for Your Gemstones

Although many gemstones are durable, every stone benefits from gentle care.

We recommend:

• Clean with warm water and mild soap.

• Use a soft toothbrush around settings.

• Dry using a microfiber cloth.

• Store jewellery separately to avoid scratching.

• Remove jewellery before heavy exercise or gardening.

Avoid exposing gemstones to harsh chemicals, bleach, chlorine, ultrasonic cleaners (for softer stones), or sudden temperature changes.

Pearls, opals, emeralds and moonstones require extra care due to their natural composition.
